    Crystal Mountain coffee is grown by two hundred farmers around the Sopapo – Mayari plateau of Cuba’s Cuatro Vientos region.

    Nestled in valleys of the Sierra Del Escambray Mountains and benefiting from its own microclimate. Frequent rain enriches the mountain soil’s mica and quartz crystal deposits, giving this excellent coffee its name and unique quality. At harvest, the ripest cherries are hard picked and brought to the Cumanayagua mill for wet processing. Naturally sun dried, this Arabica coffee has a highly intense aroma, with an elegant and delicate sweetness.

    A rich, strong and rounded flavour profile with surprisingly low acidity, we have lightly roasted this coffee for Revolver World to preserve its full bodied and creamy finish.

    Believed to be the birthplace of coffee as we know it today. Ethiopia offers an incredibly diverse range of micro climates and soils, which in turn yield some incredible uniquely, flavoured Arabicas. This wonderful Yirgacheffe coffee takes its name from the central – south Ethiopia’s Yirgacheffe region – the foothills of which host the coffee plants cultivated by the cooperative’s 927 members. This complex, sweet and intensely flavoured coffee is shade- grown by members of the Homa Cooperative. Includes hints of spice, rich fruit and subtle flavors of chocolate. It has an excellent body without the bitterness of acidic soil.

    History

    Yircheffe coffee takes its name from the central – south Ethiopia’s Yirgachefe region – the foothills of which host the coffee plants cultivated by the cooperative’s 927 members.

    This complex, sweet and intensely flavoured coffee is grown by members of the Homa Cooperative. The coffee beans are grown at altitudes between 1700 and 2200 meters and are wet processed at The Cooperative’s Fairtrade Accredited washing station.

    Taste

    With a hint of spice and rich fruit with a chocolaty finish. A well balanced roast, it has excellent body without the bitterness of acidic soil. A great coffee to enjoy with friends.

    Coope Tarrazu Co-operative is located in San Marcos de Tarrazu, Costa Rica. The Farmers cultivate the Cattura and Catuai Arabica varieties. Producing strictly high grown Coffee grown at elevations of up to 1900 meters and temperatures averaging the ideal 20°C.

    This coffee has a distinctive, rounded body with delicate fruity notes and a balanced taste.

    Out of our 2,900 small holder coffee farmers, a third are women. The harvesting process accounts for over 40% of the farming costs.

    Our main activity is the processing and milling of coffee at our Beneficio – wet processing mill, with ongoing commitments to:

    • environmental protection
    • transparency and accountability

    Mexico is a medium bodied coffee with a delicate marzipan aroma and subtle flavours of chocolate. Produced in the cooperative FIECH, they export and mill on behalf of 15 small cooperatives from municipals across the state of Chipas, which is located in the south of Mexico.

    Mexico Organic: FIECH (Federacion Indigena Ecologica de Chipas). This large cooperative exports and mills on behalf of 15 small cooperatives from municipals across the state of Chipas, which is located in the South of Mexico, with 2800 members in 21 municipalities.

    Despite its rugged Mountainous terrain, here lies the perfect conditions to grow coffee. The farming community is extremely poor and relies on coffee as their main source of income. The Federacion Indigena Ecologica de Chiapas (FIECH) was created in 1993 by three small cooperatives in the region. Since FIECH gained certification in 1996, families have benefited from steadier and higher incomes, better practices and training, leading to increased output and quality. FIECH has renovated over 3000 hectares by planting some two millions new Arabica trees. The cooperative uses profits to invest in children’s education, dormitories and medical facilities and invests in farmer education in organic agriculture.

    This medium bodied coffee has a mild acidic taste and distinctive flavours of caramel and apricot. It has been produced from two Cooperatives; COCAFCAL and CAPECUS. Both Co-operatives are   located in neighbouring departments,  Capacus in the Capacus region of western Honduras. The cooperative represents 12 communities from the municipalities of San Pedro and Corquin, Copan. Members are dedicated to growing sustainable, conventional, organic and Fairtrade coffees. COCAFELOL is located in the municipal of La Labor, near the region of Ocotepeque.

    Honduras Organic: This coffee is from two cooperatives; COCAFCAL (Cooperativa Cafetalera Capucas Limitada) and COCAFELOL (The Organic Coffee Cooperative Limited The Labor Ocotepeque).

     

    COCAFCAL is a cooperative located in the Capacus region of western Honduras. The Celaque National Park is a cloud forest containing the country’s highest mountain. The cooperative represents 12 communities from the municipalities of San Pedro and Corquin, in Copan. Their development programs have benefitted approximately 5,000 people in Las Capucas and surrounding regions. Members are dedicated to growing sustainable conventional, organic and Fairtrade coffees. The cooperative’s General Assembly has 10 members, nine of whom are women. COCAFELOL is located in the municipal of La Labor, near the region of Ocotepeque. Both cooperatives have their coffees milled and exported by Benefico Santa De Rossa. COCAFELOL has built a library for the farming communities and is now building a sports centre and playing fields.

    This full bodied , smooth coffee has aromas of toasted hazelnuts and flavours of cocoa. This distinctive group of coffees is milled at the Beneficos of the Cecovasa Cooperative. Awarded with the “coffee of the year” by the speciality Coffee Association of America, this world beating coffee is naturally produced with the absence of artificial fertilisers.

    Peru is the world’s largest producer of certified organic coffees. We work with cooperatives in the central and southern regions. The coffee farms are nestled between the mountains and smallholder farmers makeup the cooperatives and unions. The supplier cooperatives are; UNICAFEC who was founded in 2001. It is a small cooperative based in San Ignacio on the border with Ecuador. Harvesting is between April and September. UNICAFEC has 406 members, 94 of whom are women. The Cooperative has a women’s empowerment programme and coffee is grown at an elevation of 1200 – 1700m.

    CENFROCAFE who are a cooperative of over 1,900 families working in 84 partner networks. Located in the provinces Jaen, San Ignacio and Bagua, CENFROCAFE has four basic tenants; Sustainable, Social, Environmental & Economic.

    The Cooperativa Agraria Cafetalera La Florida was founded in 1964. It is a social enterprise with a strong business vision. Its main objective is the production and marketing of coffee with International partners like Revolver World. The main activity is the production of coffee and to a lesser extent cash crops such as: pineapple, bananas, passion fruit, livestock, beekeeping and fish farming. The cooperative also promotes ecotourism, we recommend seeking foreign travel advice from the FCO and traveling in organised groups if considering ecotourism in south and Central America.

    The coffee produced by La Florida are of the Arabica variety, grown under agroforestry systems, in harmony with the environment and with social responsibility. Its areas of influence are the basins of Yurinaki and Ubiriki, in the district of Perené, province of Chanchamayo, department of Junín.

    This coffee is produced from the Red Eco Sierra Cooperative in the department of Sierra Nevada in the region of Santa Marta in Northern Colombia near the Caribbean coast. It is a full-bodied, yet smooth coffee with a hint of Chocolate, nut and Spice.

    Colombia Organic: This coffee is from the Red Eco Sierra cooperative in the department of Sierra Nevada in the region of Santa Marta in northern Colombia near the Caribbean coast.

    Cooperativa Red ECOSIERRA was established in 2001 and is made up to 18 individual groups, 600 families across 900 farms. The annual harvest is between November and February and the cooperative organically grows Typica, Castillo and Colombia varieties of Arabica plants, at an altitude of 900 – 1300 meters.

    Red Eco Sierra was established in order to consolidate production and move towards a more sustainable production model. Trade, administration production and marketing have all been consolidated into the Cooperative. The community has begun conversion plans to include the construction of basic sanitation, processing, pulping, building composters, redefining production, and the conservation and protection of flora and fauna that gives rise to biodiversity in the fragile Sierra Nevada Valley.

    Guatemala is a mild coffee with full sweetness. It has delicate floral aromas and savoury flavours of dates and nutmeg. Since 1969 FEDECOCAGUA has worked to improve the lives of small-scale farmers, 90% of farmers’ income comes from coffee. Within the FEDECOCAGUA region just 2% of production is certified organic, so this shade-grown coffee represents the best of the best.

    Guatemala Organic: Since 1969 FEDECOCAGUA has worked to improve the lives of small – scale farmers. With, 19, 354 members belonging to 37 affiliated cooperatives. FEDECOCAGUA provides credit, technical support, transport, warehousing and the purchase, processing and export of members’ coffee beans. An organic conversion programme has been established and this coffee is the first fruits of its success. This coffee is grown in Guatemala’s Huehuetenango, Coban, Verapaces, Retalhuleu, San Marcos & Zacapa regions. The UN report that children receive an average 1 – 2 years of education. Despite output increasing, Guatemala’s income from coffee has diminished by a third since the 90’s. Difficult economic conditions and poor infrastructure, health, and education are being reserved by FEDECOCAGUA.

    90% of farmers’ income comes from coffee. Just 2% of production is certified organic, so this shade – grown coffee represents the best of the best. Increased sales of premium coffee exports are improving the lives of farming communities in Guatemala.

    This Fairtrade certified, Colombia coffee is produced by farmers who are member of Cooperativea de caficultores de Anserma. The cooperative is located in the municipal region of Caladas in the Western Central Region of Colombia, bordering neighbouring Risaralda region.

    This is possibly the finest coffee available. It is consistently high quality, deep, rich aromatic and a well – balanced cup.

     

    Revolver World doesn’t have shareholders to pay profits. Because our producers are also our members, we guarantee we go further by sharing our surplus with farmer cooperatives. That’s why we are a co-Operative of cooperatives.
