Honduran-grown for a medium-bodied cup, this Fairtrade Organic Ground Coffee offers a mild acidic flavour, with notes of caramel and apricot.
These two cooperatives, COCAFCAL—located in the Capacus region of western Honduras, adjacent to the cloud-forest of Celeque National Park, home of the country's highest mountain—and COCAFELOL near the Octopeque region, provide a sustainable source of Fairtrade organic coffee. Benefiting 5,000 people in the Las Capucas area and environs, COCAFCAL has nine female members and one male on the General Assembly. COCAFELOL, shipped by Benefico Santa De Rossa, has constructed a library for their farming communities and are in the process of building a sports centre with playing fields.
Building Lasting, Sustainable Partnerships with Farmers
We are dedicated to creating strong, sustainable relationships with cooperative farmers. By paying the Fairtrade Premium, we ensure that farmers receive fair compensation, empowering them to reinvest in their farms and communities. This not only promotes the creation of sustainable products but also generates long-term benefits for both people and the planet.
As a multi-stakeholder cooperative, we invite farmers to become members, giving them an active voice in our operations. This collaborative approach strengthens our partnership and fosters a more equitable and thriving community.
