Revolver Co-operative is a brand owned by you, with a mission centred on prioritising people and the planet.

Taxes

At Revolver Co-operative, we are dedicated to fulfilling our tax obligations responsibly and transparently. We strictly avoid tax avoidance schemes and the misuse of tax havens through practices like transfer pricing. Our commitment is to pay the correct amount of tax, in the appropriate jurisdiction, and at the right time, in full alignment with the spirit of applicable tax laws.

We ensure that our financial reporting accurately reflects the economic reality of our business activities. We do not engage in transactions solely aimed at securing tax advantages that are inconsistent with our genuine commercial operations. Consequently, we refrain from any arrangements that would necessitate disclosure under the Disclosure of Tax Avoidance Schemes Regulations or fall under the UK’s General Anti-Abuse Rule.

Recognising that tax havens can undermine the integrity of the tax system, we commit to not utilising such jurisdictions to gain tax benefits. While we may engage with customers and suppliers based in these regions, we do so without seeking any tax advantage.
Our financial statements are prepared in strict compliance with this policy, providing all necessary information for stakeholders, including HM Revenue & Customs, to accurately assess our tax position. We review this policy annually with our accountants to ensure ongoing adherence.

We are proud to be certified by the Fair Tax Mark, reflecting our dedication to responsible tax practices. For more information about the Fair Tax Mark, please visit https://fairtaxmark.net.

Animal Welfare and Testing

We do not use any animals in an artificial manner in the production of our coffee. We source coffee cherries from farms that actively encourage biodiversity, by leaving their fields fallow at the field-edge. This encourages hedgerow propagation which creates a habitat for a variety of animals, such as bees, butterflies, birds and small mammals and the animals that flourish around these fields naturally pollenate the crops.

We are pleased to have Labour animal welfare activist Malcom Butt MBE on our board and, with his support, we as a company adhere to the Labour Animal Welfare Society policy on both animal testing and welfare. We are members of LAWS. Although it does not directly relate to our company and its operations, we believe it is important to have a strong stance on these issues.

The policies which we subscribe to can be found on the LAWS website at labouranimalwelfaresociety.org.uk/laws-animal-charter.
