Our Cuban coffee comes from the Sierra Maestra region, where the French introduced coffee in 1748. Rich in history and ideal growing conditions, this area produces high-quality Altura Arabica coffee, renowned for its clean, rich flavour with hints of honey. Since the 1950s, Cuban coffee production declined, but cooperatives are now revitalising the industry, rebuilding both economy and community.
This Cuban coffee variety has a ground strength of 5. It boasts a clean, rich, and soft aroma of Arabica coffee, with the subtle hint of honey.
Building Lasting, Sustainable Partnerships with Farmers
We are dedicated to creating strong, sustainable relationships with cooperative farmers. By paying the Fairtrade Premium, we ensure that farmers receive fair compensation, empowering them to reinvest in their farms and communities. This not only promotes the creation of sustainable products but also generates long-term benefits for both people and the planet.
As a multi-stakeholder cooperative, we invite farmers to become members, giving them an active voice in our operations. This collaborative approach strengthens our partnership and fosters a more equitable and thriving community.
