We’re delighted to announce that Revolver Co-operative has been awarded four 1-star Great Taste Awards in the 2026 Great Taste Awards.

 

The world's largest and most trusted food and drink accreditation, Great Taste, has announced its 2026 award winners. More than 15,000 products were blind-tasted by a panel of over 500 industry experts, with only about 28% receiving a coveted 1-star award. This year, four of our ethically sourced tea and coffee products were recognised for their outstanding flavour.

 

Everyday Breakfast Malawi Tea

 

Our Everyday Breakfast Malawi Tea is bright, well-rounded and single origin, using tea leaves from Malawi. The judges were impressed by its versatility:

 

“The flavour is refreshing, earthy with a natural sweetness. It takes milk well and can be enjoyed either with or without milk. The judges thought this was unusual for a breakfast tea, which usually requires the addition of milk.”

 

 

Malawi Wholebeans

 

Our Malawi Wholebeans have sweet and delicate notes, resulting in a flavour that is distinct to Malawi:

 

“The judges enjoy the depth of the roast, with that well-rounded profile that fills the mouth. This is full of character, expressive, and alive. We loved the citrus and caramel notes that continue right through to the finish.”

 

All of our Malawi products are part of the ‘Our Malawi Partnership’, which aims to support one of the poorest countries in the world, Malawi, in developing co-operatives for small holder farmers.

 

 

Swiss Water Decaf Wholebean 

 

Our Swiss Water Decaf proves that not all decaf is stripped of its flavour:

“On the palate, there is an interesting dynamic between the sweet and creamy and the intense and bitter. Drunk with milk, the flavours balance very nicely, with some enjoyable sweet spice notes.”

 

Using the Swiss Water Process, this coffee maintains its natural flavour while remaining completely organic and chemical-free.

 

 

 

Honduras Compostable Capsules

 

Our Honduras Compostable Capsules also received a 1-star award, with judges praising their bold yet balanced profile.

 

“The flavour has notes of treacle toffee and wine leading to a long and considered finish. This is bold but controlled, with distinct characteristics that give body and length. A delicious coffee.”

 

Designed for Nespresso machines, our capsules deliver speciality coffee while offering a more environmentally conscious alternative to conventional capsules.

 

 

 

Great Taste

 

Every product launched as part of Revolver's Malawi range has now received a Great Taste Award over the past three years, demonstrating the consistent quality of the partnership's products. The “Our Malawi Partnership” is a project started by the Central England Co-Operative Society, The Co-operative College and MAFECO with a mission to support Malawi as one of the world’s poorest countries in moving out of poverty by creating a mutually beneficial co-operative network.
