Revolver World's humble beginnings stem from its parent company Revolver Records, a long-established indie record label based in the West Midlands of the United Kingdom. We've been around since the late 1970s, so we've seen and done everything (we even have the (Fairtrade) T-shirt to prove it!) Revolver has always been 'a little company with big ideas' - and by staying small, we keep true to our roots whilst still having the advantage of four decades' worth of experience to draw upon.

How did the Revolver World concept become reality?

In 2007, Paul Birch (Revolver's Managing Director) became progressively more interested in the Fairtrade movement and the concept of both Fairtrade and fairly traded goods and services. After becoming frustrated with the high prices and lack of variety in the marketplace, he decided to take action - and today, Revolver World exists in its own right as a company producing and distributing Fairtrade-accredited, organic clothing and other products to a variety of retailers and individuals.

Revolver World operates as a nonprofit organisation, and we are hopeful that in the months and years to come, we can once again directly support the development of less fortunate nations than our own. We are already looking into possible ways to help financially support the construction of public facilities (a school, a hospital facility or even an orphanage or hospice) on the African subcontinent, although this is something for the future.
